Salsa is a syncretic dance genre from Cuba, as the meeting point of European and African popular culture. It later spread to Puerto Rico and the rest of the Caribbean Isles. Salsa is essentially Cuban with deep Afro-Cuban beats, and additional musical influences from Son, Guaguancó, Rumba. Salsa was later improvised to regional rhythms such as Boogaloo, Pachanga, Guaracha, and Bomba.

Zouk is a style of rhythmic music originating from the islands of Guadeloupe, Martinique, Haiti, St. Lucia, and Dominica. Zouk has come to mean "party" or "festival" in the local creole of French, although the word originally referred to, and is still used to refer to, a popular dance, based on the Polish dance, the mazurka, that was introduced to the French Caribbean in the 19th Century. In Africa, it is popular in franco- and lusophone countries. In Europe it is particularly popular in France, and in North America the Canadian province of Quebec.

Een Mariachi is een Mexicaans (straat)orkest bestaande uit minstens 2 violen, 2 trompetten, gitaar of vihuela, gitarron en zangers. De naam mariachi wordt zowel gebruikt voor de orkesten als voor de muzieksoort die zij ten gehore brengen. Mariachi's gaan doorgaans gekleed in Mexico's nationale kledij, de outfit van de charro.

Taiti and Cristel have been dancing together as TC since March 2005. TC has been teaching and performing in over 50 cities and over 10 countries worldwide. They have been invited to do interviews, perform and or teach their unique style. And they have worked with people and organizations such as Ruth Jacott, War child, Aventura, Cache Deluxe, Grupo Gale, etc.

Marlon & Sjomara both danced together with Salsa Dance Squad, but in januari 2009, they started as a dance couple. This is their first show together and many more to come. Holland had high expectations of Marlon & Sjomara and according to most of the dancers they've met, they've exceeded those expectations by a long way!!!
